چکیده
The FLASH L-band (1.3 GHz) superconducting accelerator facility at DESY has a Low Level RF (LLRF) system that is similar to that envisioned for ILC. This system has extensive monitoring capability and was used to gather performance data relevant to ILC. Recently, waveform data were recorded with both beam on and off for three, 8-cavity cryomodules to evaluate the input RF and cavity gradient stability and study the rf overhead required to achieve constant gradient during the 800μs pulses. In this paper, we present the recent experimental results and discuss the pulse-to-pulse input rf and cavity gradient stability for both the beam on and off cases. In addition, a model of the gradient variation observed in the beam off case will be described.

متن کاملPulsed Superconductivity Acceleration
The design of the proposed linear collider TESLA is based on 9-cell 1.3 GHz superconducting niobium cavities, operated in pulsed mode [1]. Within the framework of an international collaboration the TESLA Test Facility (TTF) has been set up at DESY, providing the infrastructure for cavity R&D towards higher gradients [2]. More than 60 ninecell cavities were tested, accelerating gradients as high...
متن کاملMicrotca.4 Based Single Cavity Regulation including Piezo Controls
We want to summarize the single cavity regulation with MTCA.4 electronics. Presented solution is based on the one MTCA.4 crate integrating both RF field control and piezo tuner control systems. The RF field control electronics consists of RTM for cavity probes sensing and high voltage power source driving, AMC for fast data processing and digital feedback operation. The piezo control system has...
متن کاملThe Wakefields in Superconducting Accelerating Cavities of New Type for TESLA Collider
The first stage of the TESLA Test Facility (TTF) superconducting electron linac is already in its final state of assembling. The large number of superconducting accelerating cavities underwent the various complicated preparation procedures and many of them reached the specified accelerating gradient of 25 MV/m. Nevertheless, as the RF accelerating system is dominating part of the future machine...
متن کاملDigital RF Control System for the Pulsed Superconducting Linear Accelerator
The FLASH (Free Electron Laser in Hamburg) (Ackermann et al., 2007) is a user facility providing high brilliant laser light for experiments. It is also a unique facility for testing the superconducting accelerator technology for the European XFEL (Weise, 2004) and the International Linear Collider (Ross et al., 2011). The LLRF (low level RF) system is used to maintain the beam stabilities by st...
